Everyone is fine, Anna had roseola but she is fully recovered, we're busy and it's hot. Pretty much sums it up. :)

Another Lovely Morning

The garden is definitely a success. My goal was to grow something this year, and in that at least I have succeeded! Sophia fell off of some playground equipment yesterday and hurt her arm, I still haven't decided if we should have it x-rayed or not.

This sunflower was a volunteer, from some birdseed that fell around the sidewalk. It makes me very happy.

The cheeps are spending most of the daytime in their hutch in the backyard this week. I think they'll move out there fulltime next week. The one in the doorway is Daisy, she's so friendly!


Here is a shot of the hutch we (well, mostly Tony) built out of leftover fence wood. It still needs some finishing touches and then I'll do a post about it, showing all of the amazing features!

Yesterday our littlest JacobsCircus performer had her first birthday. We survived it, although just barely. Our original plan was to have a party at Grandma's house with family and a few friends, so Margaret and I spent the day making cakes and food and ignoring the mess the little girls were making all over the house. This backfired pretty badly when most of the family canceled at the last minute and we had to call everyone and invite them over here, instead. :)

Tony stepped up and did a quick clean-up, though, and Margaret and I served up the food, and our guests came over and we had a really nice evening. We have lots of food leftover, though!

Change is Good

I decided to change the blog template in hopes of renewing interest in it. Hopefully I can get the other contributors to contribute, and get myself motivated to post more often.

Here's what we've been doing. We've been on quite a few field trips the past week, here are the girls at our local Great Plains Nature Center.



We've been busy navigating our switch from Windows back to Mac, and learning about what's changed since we were here last.

Also, we've spent a considerable amount of time here (for fun), and here (learning all kinds of cool stuff about Mesopotamia).

I must go now and stop Anna from eating paper (her new favorite food).

I also want to add a request that those who read this post a comment, we really love the feedback!

Margaret's Locks of Love haircut

Wow! Today, Mom cut my hair for Locks of Love.
It was soo scary!! Who knew letting go of some hair would be so.... life changing? Here I am before the cut :(

This is after we evened it out! Isn't it cute?

Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that makes wigs for kids that have lost hair from Cancer and so on. I have been meaning to do this for a while, but you have to have at least ten inches and I wanted some hair to grow. :)
